2Alarm was born and raised in Houston, Texas in a rural area of South Park. Violence was an ongoing problem that 2Alarm did not want to be a part of. To avoid the destruction of the streets, 2Alarm started hanging out in the neighborhood record shop Blast Records and Tapes owned by the legendary mix tape master Darryl Scott. Every day after school and on the weekends 2Alarm hung out in the shop watching Darryl Scott on the turntables as he made mix tapes and played for the customers. Once he saw how people were reacting to the jams Darryl was putting out, 2Alarm new then he wanted to be a Dj.  

Music is a tool that is used to communicate with an audience. Music can make people happy, energetic and darn right crazy.  Musical talents were instilled in 2Alarm at a young age coming from parents who were in marching bands and later on in musical groups. 2Alarm took this gift and began being the music person for his elementary school plays and talent shows, known as the Radio Man. These roles continued on through middle school for 2Alarm. As 2Alarm reached his teens, he got into clubs with the help of his uncle who was a bouncer. This experience took 2Alarm on an entire new level as he watched people dancing under the disco lights to the songs that the Dj was playing. 2Alarm knew this was the time to hustle up on some turntables and get to practicing.

After months of earning money through cutting yards and washing cars, 2Alarm bought his first pair of turntables from a pawn shop. The first two records he purchased on his own was Too Short “Born to Mack” and Fresh Prince “Parents Just Don’t Understand”. 2Alarm continued to purchase records and perfect his craft as a Dj and a potential rap artist. With his best buddy J-Roc of Slab Shack Records formed the group the MGP Boys (Macgregor Park). Still focusing on spinning records 2Alarm continued his venture playing at family reunions and house parties for his family. At the age of 14, 2Alarm was on the way to the top until tragedy struck his family. 2Alarm parents went through a divorce putting his mother in some struggling times. 2Alarm put his passion to the side to help his mother by selling everything he had and getting a 9 to 5 job.

Sixteen years later after graduating high school, joining the military, having a daughter, getting an air plane mechanic license, graduating from college, joining the fire department and getting married, 2Alarm was still missing something in his life. That something was the passion he left behind 16 years ago, Djing.  With the encouragement and support of his wife 2Alarm was determined to finish the career he started long ago. 2alarm received help from Dj Crazy Dreadz and Dame Hype to catch him up with the new technology that Djs are using like Traktor, Serato and Torque. 2Alarm received his name from comrades in the fire department calling him 2-11, which is the number code for a 2 alarm fire.

Back in full effect, 2Alarm has rocked numerous parties for many organizations around Houston. 2Alarm has played in several night clubs such as the Reed Lounge, H-Town Lounge, Invy Lounge and Azul just to name a few. 2Alarm has also become the premier Dj for Galena Park ISD, M.D. Anderson Emergency Room Department, and The Houston Black Firefighters Association. 2Alarm has capped his accomplishment in 2012 by being drafted to the League DJs.
