Welcome to New York City by way of Queens. Here is where you shall discover the humble beginnings of Dj LAROSE aka LAROSE ROYCE. Here is where musical inspiration was instilled into his young soul. Entertainment has always been important to LAROSE’S family from TRINIDAD, for it was his grandmother’s countless parties and numerous family gatherings that sparked his musical interest. Being the family’s elected dj, young LAROSE changed songs while the adults got their boogie on, so even at this tender age it was evident he would make people dance. This involvement started LAROSE in djing many of his own high school dances at John Bowne High School in Queens, New York. All it took was the acquisition of a musical catalog and more equipment and suddenly he was djing throughout the five boroughs.
LAROSE ROYCE moved to Houston in his late teen years. In only two weeks he landed his first gig. Mix tapes established the foundation and provided the credibility to place him in top nightclubs throughout the city. His versatility is what has allowed him to mix in multiple formats and at unique venues such as Hush nightclub (voted one of the top nightclubs in the world). With a catalog filled with top 40, hip-hop, r&b, old school, reggae, house, dance, techno, salsa/ meringue and more. LAROSE can also be found collaborating with the top promoters in the city to bring the best party around, making LAROSE one the most diverse and versatile disc jockeys in the nation. Performing for a high diverse of people. Throughout his career LAROSE ROYCE has performed at exclusive industry parties for the likes of Diddy, Nelly, LL Cool J, Alicia Keys, and many more. He has also been personally requested to do celebrity birthdays for the likes of WNBA star Sheryl Swoops, Juvenile, reps for Music World.
Realizations of these skills have led LAROSE to not only be in the club but also enter radio syndication. On Mobile Alabama’s #1 radio station WBLX 93 BLX. Also was heard on Shreveport, Louisiana’s #1 radio station KMJJ 99.7fm and Savannah Georgia’s #1 radio station WEAS E93 Jamz. Of the three stations LAROSE maintained the number one mix show on both 99.7 and E93. LAROSE maintained the highest numbers in his time slot for 93 BLX. In total that was three stations throughout six states where you can catch LAROSE in the mix. Other accolades include appearances on BET’s 106th & Park, a role in Deadly Wordz, and several magazine interviews and commentaries for the likes of Direct Spotlight as well as Radio and Records magazine, Industri magazine. He was also featured in the DVD Underground Lifestyles Houston edition. Performing live for top companies around the country such as T-Mobile, Samsung, The Houston Texans, The Houston Rockets, Seagram’s Gin, and sponsored by Budweiser/Bud Light.
After twenty years in the entertainment industry LAROSE ROYCE still has not stopped. He is just now gathering for the greatest run of his career rocking nightclubs, radio stations, events and parties all over Houston and throughout the continent.
