For PK it all started back in high school( yeah…a long time ago right?) So check it…you are in a school gymnasium it is crazy packed….Girls wearing those crazy colors with legwarmers and sh#t, looking like flashdance. The guys wearing those baggy parachute pants…lol.. So anyway everyone is standing around in the middle of the floor talking and playing…. girls and guys feeling just a little awkward…then it happens, this cool as dude walks into the room wearing one of those muti-colored leather jackets with his hat turned backwards…He is “The DJ”. He steps up to his turn tables scratches for a quick sec, then drops Eric B and Rakim “ Paid in Full”……… The mood totally changes. The crowd goes wild. He makes the party…He is the man!!! This is where it all began for me. I was not in awe the dj, but in how music, which I loved, could orchestrate the room. Music can make you happy, sad, fearful, hopeful…even excited! There is power in the music!!! I love having some part in making people feel good…that is what djing is about for me…. Just as I love all types of people I love all kinds of music. I am a connoisseur of music, my collection runs deep. I can take you back as far as Frank Sinatra or get you crunk with DMX or Lil John…… You never know what you’re gonna get… So now PK1 is a League DJ... sit back and wait for… The Un X spec it.
